Bos'n - Luke Bos'n Mate - Amber Just to give an idea of what we have been doing and what we will be doing for the next several months. Recently Ship 12 was bestowed with a great honor of becoming the Council Commodore's ship. On May 7th 2009 Council Commodore Jim McIlwain posted his commodore's flag with Ship 12's flag during a ceremony. Bos'n Danielle accepted the flag, and posted the colors. At which she stepped down as Bos'n, and the newly elected bos'n, Luke, stepped into her place. Danielle will be leaving Ship 12 after graduation. She will be leaving for the Army, and we will miss her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers will be with her, and we wish her clear skies, and fair winds...Skipper Dave. June: Ship 12 will be heading back to Ft. DeSoto for their annual summer trip. While on their summer trip they go swimming, snorkeling, sailing, and work on requirements for their ranks. The park looks forward to us coming every year as we clean 2 miles of beach while we are their. It sounds worse than it does. It's real nice to get up and walk along the beach picking up trash while the sun rises every morning so that others can enjoy a clean beach.
